Ecoprogetti India, Interview with Mr. Rajen Shah MD INDIA.

Mr. Rajen Shah, Managing director India, was interviewd by Energetica India Magazine to have a better understanding of Ecoprogetti’s goals in the near future.

EDUCATION AND BACKGROUND:

Instrumental Engineering and Plastic Engineering (Post Graduate)

 

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Started my career in 1990 in the R&D Deptartment in Plastic: Arts (Group Company of Gujrat Polyweave Ltd) in Mumbai.

 

CURRENT DESIGNATION AND COMPANY:

Managing Director, Ecoprogetti Production Process India Pvt. Ltd (100%
Subsidiary of Ecoprogetti Srl). Our company started in 2012 but the first turnkey line which we had sold in 2008 to PV Powertech, Mumbai.

 

CURRENT WORK GOALS AND ACHIEVEMENTS:

We design and manufacture turnkey module manufacturing solutions from 10MW o 1000MW. Today we have the biggest installation based in India with over 60 module manufacturing companies using our equipment and we have our service team in Delhi, Chandigath, Gujrat, Hyderabad, Banglore and Mumbai as our head office. In India, except Kashmir and Bihar, we have our machines installed in almost all the states. Our goal is to have our presence in these remaining two states in this year. Recently we also received an order from Indonesia, which will be the first Turnkey module line in the country.

 

INDUSTRY OUTLOOK:

The Solar market looks very promising and will continue to grow for at least another 5 to 7 years of time. The awareness of people is rising which will be driving factor for the roof to market which will be the future in coming years. “Indian solar market has grown by an average 72%
in the last three years and is now worth approximately 8-9 GW per annum.
Growing market size and strong government commitment to the sector have attracted the world’s leading private sector players as well as resulted in lower tariffs for consumers. We are all waiting for the protection duty on cells and modules which will give lots of boost to domestic manufacturer and there will be stability in the price of panels and restriction on cheap product coming from different countries.
