ESMC’s mission aligns with our goals: to foster growth and innovation, support policy development, and enhance collaboration between industry leaders. In a world where sustainable energy solutions are becoming increasingly crucial, Ecoprogetti Srl has taken a significant step forward by becoming a member of the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC).
The situation demands immediate and decisive action to prevent a wave of bankruptcies and potential migrations among current European photovoltaic manufacturers.
Several key measures are urgently required:
NO TO FORCED LABOR!
Immediate exclusion of solar modules produced with forced labor from the European market. This unethical practice must not be tolerated.
ACQUISITION OF EURO PV
Rapid acquisition of stock from European photovoltaic manufacturers to counteract the forced price drops caused by unfair Chinese trade practices.
Encourage European solar installers and project developers to incorporate a minimum quota of European photovoltaic production along the entire value chain. This will ensure a stable market for European manufacturers in the medium term.
Include non-financial criteria (NFC) in photovoltaic auctions as a reward for the environmental and social benefits of European photovoltaic modules.
40% EUROPEAN BY 2030
Implement a gradual transition to European production of photovoltaic modules, starting with a 10% target, and increasing each year toward a 40% target by 2030.
The ESMC is an industrial association committed to promoting the interests of the photovoltaic manufacturing sector in Europe.
Its mission is to drive growth and innovation in the industry, support policy development, and provide a platform for networking and collaboration among European industry leaders.
Ecoprogetti Srl, along with other industry leaders, urgently calls upon the European Commission and member states to take immediate action to protect the European photovoltaic industry.
Failure to act promptly will jeopardize the achievement of Green Deal objectives and the Net-Zero Industry Act, especially in the photovoltaic sector.
The European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC) stands as a united front in this critical moment, urging the EU to transform its high-level declarations of 2022 and 2023 into immediate and resolute actions.
The European photovoltaic industry is at a crossroads.
Without swift and decisive action, it risks becoming entirely dependent on China for this crucial technology in Europe’s energy transformation.
The urgency of the situation demands determined action to avoid such a scenario and preserve Europe’s self-sufficiency in the photovoltaic sector.
With Ecoprogetti Srl’s membership in the European Solar Manufacturing Council (ESMC), we are committed to working together with industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to secure a sustainable and prosperous future for the European photovoltaic manufacturing sector.
Together, we can ensure that Europe remains at the forefront of renewable energy innovation and production.
