PV CIRCULAR ECONOMY, FROM ELECTRICAL WASTE TO RAW MATERIALS

Photovoltaic panels to be recycled are not only those that have reached their end-of-life, but also those damaged by factors such as environmental causes, glass breakage, EVA delamination, microfractures in the cells, or interconnector corrosion, which compromise their efficiency. Our automated photovoltaic recycling line enables the separation and recovery with the highest recovery rate and purity of photovoltaic materials, including glass, silicon, aluminum, and copper.

Equipment list

1. panel optical system

Identifies panel size and J-box position, managing both single off-center units and three centralized boxes typical of new generation modules.

2. Frame & J-box Removal

Removes the frames from PV modules, adapting to different panel sizes. Equipped with an automated frame unloading system with conveyor belt for higher efficiency. Integrated in the same unit, the system also removes the junction boxes (J-boxes) from PV panels, handling both single and triple centralized types while ensuring smooth connection with the recycling line.

3. module flipper

Flips the PV module before glass removal, with automated alignment ensuring stability, precise handling, and smooth integration in the recycling process.

4. Glass removal

It automatically separates most of the front glass from the photovoltaic laminate. The glass is directed onto a discharge conveyor, while the laminate moves forward on the main conveyor.

5. Material Shredding

Grinding the fragments into fine powder, ensuring the separation of multi-layer materials. The process produces a homogeneous powder, facilitating the isolation and distinction of the different components.

6. Material Division

The crushed and ground material is transported to the gravity screener via a spiral. The gravimetric separator directs high-density metals towards the outlet for discharge.

7. Material Collection

Cyclone collection for silicon recovery from the suction system. Connected to the gravimetric and electrostatic separator, it collects the silicon generated during the recycling process.

8. Filter

It removes fine particles generated during the photovoltaic recycling process, ensuring a safe and clean work environment. Integrated with the suction system, it captures the residual dust through high-efficiency filters.
